Foundation repair of a pier and beam structure is truly a balancing act and includes several unique construction requirements. While some of the processes are similar to slab foundation repair, our unique Pier & Beam Repair steps are also discussed. Oklahoma or North Texas weather permitting, Pierman begins by making accurate elevation measurements.
During the leveling phase, the crew leader will need access to the interior of the property. We carefully construct piers to securely support the foundation by digging 24″ x 24″ holes to a predetermined depth, and filling the holes with concrete reinforced with steel rebar.
After all columns are poured, Pierman will monitor the concrete as it cures. The curing part of the process is essentially a complete hardening of the concrete. After completing all piers, Pierman will check the property to monitor how the new concrete is curing. Once the piers are cured, the crew will return to finish the job.
Finishing the job consists of removing all of the construction forms and equipment, cleaning up any waste we have made and removing extra soil from the construction phase. Our job is not done until the site looks as close to new as we can achieve for you.
After a week, no one will be able to tell that you had a major repair performed on your foundation! However, you will be able to tell there has been a great improvement in the quality of your property’s integrity.
Whether your home receives a foundation repair, pier & beam repair, or crawl space encapsulation, issues will be remediated and solutions reinforced for many years to come.
